seminar about surgical and non-surgical weight management options.

Detroit, MI —DMC Harper Bariatric Medicine Institute (Harper BMI) will host a FREE public educational seminar on weight management options. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the different surgical and non-surgical weight management options and have their questions answered by the experts.
This free event will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at Harper University Hospital (3990 John R., Detroit) in Hospitality Suites 2 & 3, starting at 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
At the seminar, board certified surgeon and medical director of bariatric services for DMC Harper University Hospital, Michael M. Wood, M.D., will present important information on the latest surgical approaches to overcoming obesity and chronic diseases related to obesity. Surgical options presented will include the Lap-Band, gastric sleeve and minimally invasive gastric bypass surgery, as well as the use of robotic technology for bariatric procedures.
