Governor’s Award of Excellence

For the fifth consecutive year, Harper University Hospital and Hutzel Women’s Hospital were recognized by Michigan Governor Jennifer M. Granholm and MPRO for improving patient safety and quality of care in a hospital setting. The award identifies Harper-Hutzel as a “top performer” in the state’s efforts to embrace best practices and improve systems and health outcomes.

In addition to the Governor’s Award, Harper and Hutzel also received MPRO awards for Improving Patient Safety and Quality of Care in a Hospital Setting, Appropriate Care Measures, Surgical Care Improvement Projects, Computerized Physician Order Entry Level III and Bar Code Enabled Point-of-Care Level III.
