Under the leadership of Richard T. Klapchar, D.O., the Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery Department at Harper is poised to become one of the top ENT programs in the nation. “We’re going beyond simply rebuilding a department,” Dr. Klapchar said. “We’re creating a state-of-the-art, 21^st century program that will be second to none.”

With easy access to MRI and CT scanners, onsite diagnostic technologies and state-of-the-art voice, swallowing and speech therapies, patients enjoy comprehensive ENT care in a convenient location on the DMC main campus. Harper ENT experts are also available at clinic locations in Plymouth and Dearborn.

When appropriate, ENT program clinicians partner with other DMC specialists and researchers to provide world-class multidisciplinary care. The program is also training the next generation of otolaryngology specialists with an residency program in collaboration with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
